The style is meant to mimic that of a child, with rough lines and disheveled contours, as if these warm moments are being viewed through the eyes of a kid. Every figure was referenced from childhood photos of my peers - a real moment in time that they hold dear. The work hopes to translate bittersweet nostalgia, the longing for feeling sheltered and protected within the comfort of a parent’s arms, blissfully unaware of approaching tribulations.
